Rolex Yacht-Master II Regatta Chrono at BaselWorld

[ DAS Rolex Forum ]

Finally Rolex has come out with something that does not look like their original design from 20 years ago. The majority of their watches look plain and have stayed basically the same for many years, which is good and bad. I like the bold new design and I think this type of watch might help attract other buyers that would not normally buy a Rolex because of the old school look. On the other hand I am sure buyers that do purchase a Rolex because of the traditional look will probably not like this particular model as much. Either way here is a nice shot of the new Rolex Yacht-Master II Regetta Chrono that was just introduced at BaselWorld.

MILGAUSS by Rolex

[ via Rolex ]

Here is the new MILGAUSS that was introduced by Rolex at Baselworld 2007. I really like the new styles that Rolex has recently come out with, especially this brand new Professional model. This particular model is similar to the Bell & Ross Type Demineur, IWC Ingenieur, and the Ball Engineer. They are all anti-magnetic watches that are especially useful to bomb disposal units. The Bell & Ross is my favorite of the bunch as it is extremely legible in all lighting conditions, it is extremely waterproof and it is non-magnetic and anti magnetic. I am glad Rolex came out with this watch, but I would still buy a Bell & Ross over the Roly.

PVD Rolex Daytona Chronograph

[ via QP Magazine ]

It appears that Bamford & Sons has already created PVD-treated Rolex Submariners and GMT Masters and now they have created an exclusive line of black Rolex Daytona chronographs. I am glad that another company has caught on to the black trend in the watch industry. Rolex came out with a bunch of new and redesigned models this year, but for some reason they missed this. Bamford & Sons has created stainless steel IPods and now you can get your blacked out Rolex even if Rolex does not approve, and this one is $19,500.
